Pirates on the workbench.

Pirates, privateers, thugs, hoodlums, ships crew, militia, insurrectionists, rogue trader's entourage, working stiffs, whatever you want to call them.
They've been on the work bench before hopefully this time I'll stick to it.

One of my favorites of the bunch. Not sure who made him, Darkhorse maybe?

Votomian Planetary Defense Force

My slowly growing Votomian PDF. About 65 troopers painted give or take. Mostly made up of old Rogue Trader era Imperial Army with a growing number of newer Catachan and Cadian troops (metal of course).
I still have a couple dozen troopers to paint up plus several heavy weapons.

The nice thing about building a PDF force is I can use pretty much anything I want to keep with the ad-hoc militia feel.

Votomian MKII camouflage.
I got about 2/3rds of the way through painting these guys until I finally settled on a proper camouflage pattern. This gentleman represent the ideal camo scheme I'll try to stick to from now on, while the majority of my troopers have a thicker blobular pattern which I refer to as MKI.

The Troops:
My typical anti-duplicate ethos has led to a few head swaps along with several Stetsons and campaign hats.

Thanks for looking.  Hopefully more on the way.

Vehicles- Rogue Trader style!

Some new pics of old vehicles.

With the new table up at least for the moment, I thought I'd get some practice shots in with my new digital camera.  Shots cam out OK, I have several shots of the troops that need editing and I'll post soon.  Still need to get the hang of the lighting features on the camera.

The "walkers' were originally intended as Sentinels but now that I've been slippy back into proper Rogue Trader I'll probably use the Build Points rules for dreadnoughts in White Dwarf 100 to custom build rules for them.  Same goes with the tank at the bottom, hopefully using White Dwarf 103 I can put something together rather using it as a  'proxy' this or that.

A walker (Sentinel) converted out of an old Crusher Joe model.

A heavy walker (Sentinel) made from various GW, and model kits.

Votomian class heavy troop transport.  Another old Crusher Joe model.

New Blog New Table-

I finally had the chance to clear the old bonus room and thought I'd slap together game table or at least throw a board over the pool table.

Nothing special, just wrapped and stapled a grass train mat over a 4x8 plywood. It will get the job done for now until I can build that dream board with rolling hills, streams and forests : -)

A shot of the "Hobby Stash" or at least the better half of it, still piled in the same spot since we moved in three years ago.  Just two more rooms to finish remodeling and I can really start sorting it out.
